Beverly Ann Rider was born June 20, 1936 in Decatur, IL. She passed away peacefully on September 21, 2018 in Lodi, CA., she was 82. After completing her education, Beverly began working in Medical Records, a position she held for over 25 years.

She enjoyed bowling with her friends, reading, gardening and spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; Lionel and Mary Rommel, her husband; Richard Allen Rider, and her daughter; Tracy Ann Rider-Post, sisters; Sharon Smith, and Marilyn Sullivan, brother; George Rommel, and great-grandson; Eric Rider.

She leaves to cherish her memory her four children; Jeff Rider (Ida) of Galt, Diane Rider of Sonora, Chris Loftin (Byron) of Stockton, and Renee Green (Glenn) of Lodi, 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit Wednesday, September 26^th from Noon until 6:00 p.m. and are invited to attend Funeral Services on Thursday, September 27^th, 10:00 a.m. at Donahue Funeral Home, 123 N School Street, Lodi, with interment at Lodi Memorial Cemetery, 5750 E Pine Street immediately following.

Dorothy Nadene Snyde passed peacefully from this earth on September 8, 2018.
She was the daughter of Alexander Joseph and Lydia Adrian Chappuis, born July 31, 1930.
She attended Lodi schools and graduated from Lodi High School with the class of 1948. She had a marriage with Fred Snyde Jr. for 34 years. They were blessed with two children; a daughter, Pamela Dee Focacci, and one son, Douglas Dean Snyde.
Cheerful and outgoing, she was actively involved in leadership of Turner School Parents Club, Turner-Ray 4-H Club and Lodi High Ski Club during her children’s school years. She was a past member of Omega Nu Society, Women of the Wilderness, Woodbridge Women’s Golf Association and the San Joaquin Country Historical Society. As an active member of St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church of Lodi, she served on the Vestry, Altar Guild, in the Church office and as a small group facilitator.
Dorothy loved the outdoors and was an avid backpacker. She covered much of the High Sierras with her and her brother’s families. In later years she traveled abroad, visiting China shortly after it was open to the West. Other trips included the Holy Land and for her 70th birthday, she cruised Germany’s Rhine River.
She is survived by her children, Pamela Focacci (Andy), Douglas Snyde (Sharen Lee), and their children Joy Held (Rob), Mathew Focacci (Christina), Thomas Snyde (Savannah) and James Snyde. She also had three great grandsons; Joseph, Jacob and Charles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Louis Alexander Chappuis and her sister Evelyn Hendrickson-Simenton.
At 11:00 am on Saturday, October 6th the family will hold a celebration of life at the Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist, 1055 South Lower Sacramento road, Lodi, CA 95242. A reception will follow.

Velma Pauline Carr Bell was born into the family of Walter and Caldonia Carr in Pope county, Arkansas on June 26, 1928. Pauline had nine siblings; Ira, Hays, Willard, Henry, Ray, Ruby, Walsie, Roxie, and Mary Lou. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Cleo C. Bell of Valley Springs, CA and by her sister, Mary Lou Parks of Marshall, AR. She will be greatly missed by her four sons and their families; Ken and Paula Bell of Modesto, CA, Tony Bell of Modesto, CA, Dan Bell and Erika Coon of South Lake Tahoe, CA, and Dennis and Mary Bell of Sugar Land, TX; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, along with a large number of nieces and nephews, and many friends and neighbors.

Both Cleo and Pauline were born and raised in extreme rural Arkansas on homestead-style family farms. They developed an early and life-long appreciation for hard work and the value of family. Pauline always enjoyed the activities that were modeled in her family; cooking and canning, hunting and fishing, quilting and sewing, and “homemade” music. While being a mother of four, she earned a nursing diploma and was employed as a nurse from 1966 through 1991. She and Cleo moved to Valley Springs to live in 1990 where she continued to do the things she loved with people that she loved and was active in the First Missionary Baptist Church. Pauline passed to glory with her family by her side on August 31, 2018.
